Onyx Valley Studios
Onyx Valley Studios is a student-led design agency created to help students get experience working with real clients on real projects from start to finish.
Like an internship or apprenticeship, Onyx Valley Studios is intended to help students transition from observing and learning in an educational setting to applying and practicing skills in a professional environment. Projects are either client driven or start-up initiatives generated by Onyx Valley. We generally work on projects that are aligned with Onyx Valley’s mission and values surrounding diversity, equality, and justice.

Onyx Valley Studios facilitated a design thinking workshop focused on reexamining the transition from online to face-to-face communication to combat “ghosting” in professional, social, and romantic situations.

Onyx Valley Studios provided consulting services to the City of Philadelphia’s Office of Immigrant Affairs to understand and develop criteria for effective interactions between the city government and the Low English Proficiency (LEP) community.
Spruce St Hammock Traffic

Delaware River Waterfront Company
Onyx Valley Studios examined the current state of Spruce Street Harbor Park and identified opportunities for improvement to help facilitate park traffic, as well as share more of the park’s history with its patrons.
